Cherry Trees School enjoys an unrivalled position in 7 acres of magnificent Suffolk countryside. The buildings are modern and extremely well equipped. Specialist rooms are provided for science, computing, design and technology, art and craft, home economics and music. The school has established a high academic standard.
A large nursery department, employing the Montessori method, is run by fully qualified staff in superbly equipped facilities. The Montessori method is now continued through the school until the age of 13.
Pupils are encouraged to participate in a full range of indoor and outdoor sporting activities which include swimming, football, mini rugby, hockey, netball, athletics, cross country, tennis and cricket. Visiting specialists teach dance, piano, string, woodwind and brass instruments.
Clubs operate after school, offering activities such as choir, chess, first aid and adventure services. Both the nursery and school operate between 8.00 and 6.00 throughout the year offering pre-school, after-care and supervised prep during term-time and holiday activities and courses throughout the school holidays.
The School visits our house in Normandy annually, continuing their studies in the morning and spending the afternoons exploring France and using their French conversation.
Pupils are prepared for Preparatory school entrance and scholarship examinations. Girls common entrance at 11+, 12+ and 13+. Boys common entrance at 13+.
